E-School Policies
Exams
All USCG Approved Courses require students to pass one or more final exams administered by a qualified instructor at Columbia Pacific Maritime in Portland, Oregon. With the exception of a few major holidays and some vacation time these exams can be scheduled seven days a week.
Course Schedule
The online courses provided are open entry, self paced courses; meaning that students can enroll at any time and work through the lessons at their own pace. However students are expected to complete the course within 90 days from the date of enrollment. To meet this objective the student should be prepared to commit a minimum of ten hours a week towards the online lessons and plan to schedule the final exams within a few days of completion of the online lessons.
Inactive Accounts
Students must login to the course at least once every 7 days to maintain an active account. Inactive accounts will be contacted via email; failure to respond to the email will result in the student being dropped from the course.
Extensions
If you are not able to complete a course within 90 days of enrollment or are unable to maintain an active account you may contact Columbia Pacific Maritime for an extension and I will make every effort to accommodate your individual situation.
